I went on last years run and although speed limits were generally adhered to the driving was spirited to say the least. There are regular stops to allow the convoy to reform due to cars taking wrong turnings or getting held up behind Sunday drivers.

Some go pretty quick others go at a slower pace so we end up in little groups along the road. There is usually someone to follow. Go as fast or slow as you like, if you are a slow driver you'll eventually catch up with everyone. That's why we have so many quick stops.

Perhaps you should try the Epsom to Eastbourne Run on 26th June. It is more controlled and goes at a slower pace as the roads are different to those on the Kent run. Most of the roads on the run to Eastbourne have 40mph speed limits
