When we go on a run up north Ben we don't allow other MR2's to come along, it lowers the tone we think.

As I do not go on any other MR2 forums anymore I would not know what they get up to

There are a number of former probe owners who decide to sell up and get a mk1 and that is because they see us grinning (and not comparing rev 3 with a rev 4 spoiler or whatever). If we didn't share events they wouldn't see our cherished little cars.

I try regularly to organise MK1 events and no one signs up for them.........

I think these things are cyclic Kate, many years ago the North East was a large and very active area but people move on and do different things so it is now quite inactive. The North West / Yorkshire at the moment has a very active area, we have just got back from Tatton Show where we had 12 or 13 cars (all MK1's) on our stand over the two days.

Keep plugging away and eventually it will happen, I have to say weekend overnight shows are the best way to integrate a group of people in my opinion. We have a core group that grows each year, the youngest is my son who is 16 but has been going to the shows for 5 or 6 years now and the oldest is Bill Hulme (I think) who is quite old and has been organising the shows for years. Next up for us is Silverstone Classic which I am really looking forward to

mk1 or mk3 cos that's it's nearest Toy rival and i'll have a mk1 everytime just soooo much more balanced and better in all respects Toy got it wrong with the mk3............

as for the probe 16v or 24v - they're both shocking drives............
