That is that is the first time I have been called a young man for a very long time. Please thank your wife for the bacon sandwich and the coffee. When are we putting it back in?

Barbara says you are welcome.
It will be a few weeks before its is all ready to go back in again. I will probably be buying an engine stand and have found someone in Wakefield who rents out an engine hoist for £10 per day so we will be better prepared when it goes back.
I wil give as much notice as I can before we put it back.
Thanks again
Douglas
I could pick up the engine hoist on my way past Wakefield if you want.
Pics!
Tommy doing the scarecrow dance! We'd already removed the TVIS and other stuff inside the garage so as to avoid being outside in the potential rain as much as possible.
Tommy's tidy motor!
MR2 city!
Engine ready to drop.
Engine dropped onto pallet trolley.
Douglas lending a hand, hehe.
Empty bay.
Not as high as we thought we'd have needed.
Back home safe.
Douglas' handy work!
It was a good 'meet' gents. I was surprised, as was everyone, how quickly we got it dropped out. Granted, douglas had disconnected a fair chunk of the top half parts, but it really was quite a painless exercise. Good tea, tea cakes, bourbons and bacon sandwiches!
Douglas' car was very clean underneath! A real credit to him.
See you all for the reverse operation.
Cheers,
Tom
Great pics Tom. Barbara says I owe you all quite a few pints for your help. She can't wait to see you all again as it will mean its nearer completion!
I found the exhaust manifold has two cracks in it but I will be picking up a replacement from Paul Woods on my way up north on Wednesday. I have removed the ancilliaries and gearbox and started cleaning the crap off the gearbox.
If all goes well it should be ready to go back together towards the end of next month.
Douglas
What was I doing in that picture Tom !!!!
As long as it doesn't clash with Tatton we will be there Douglas
It has been a long time since I have felt the force mate
Missed this till now... Looks like a hoot. Hope to see more like it, especially South West members
I never mind helping others out with their cars. Even more so if there is tea and cake involved.
It's what the club is all about - or should be.
