Hey all. New to the mr2 scene. My friend is selling me his mr2 for a very genourous £800 with fresh mot, 89,000 miles. Will get some pics tommoro. Thought id sign up now so i can get a better knowledge of what im buying. I currently own a euroed polo but have been converted to the jap/rwd scene by my mate with a turbo'd mx5. Cheers gazz.

Yeah will definately get some tommoro can't wait to get it now but i no it won't be for a couple of weeks ah well good comes to those who wait eh,

Do you think the car will need lowering ? I am not sure of the general height of the car and if the wheels will make it ride quite high.

Welcome to the forum and club. I'm a fellow Yorkshireman. I'm from Beverley originally but am living in York at the moment.

Hey tom im from driffield, which is basically 15 minuites drive from beverley yeah will definately be coming to some meets especially as its quite close to us . Yeh ill definately give u a shout if any problems occur.

Anywhoo went for a look yesterday, i have got 1st dibs on the car, so it is practically mine as it is a good mate who is selling me it he has the service history running back till it was born minimal amount of rust on rear arches however i have a price for them sorted with another friend. No problems at all it has been sat in his garage for 4 months so we stuck it on charge and took it for a little spin, absolutely loved it, sounds like nor problems what so ever.

Sorry theres only 3 pics was in a bit of a rush yesterday, is there anything i need to be looking out for with this before i hand my cash over? Also i notice the bonnet looks pale however that was just dust yesterday lol.

I thought I recognised the number plate so searched back through my pictures. It used to belong to a member called Gordon. It's a very tidy example and you should snap it up at £800!

It'll be good to see it back at the meets once again.

The flat paint will polish out with some autoglym SRP.
