1988 MR2 for sale
I am reluctantly parting with my cherished MK1 1988 Toyota MR2 due to the need for something a little more practical. This is a great example of a true classic and is in excellent condition, as demonstrated by the attached photographs.
The car has had two previous owners, and although I only have a partial service history, the condition of the vehicle speaks for itself. The interior is absolutely immaculate, and the exterior is in very good condition too as the photos show. The car has done 105,000 miles and the drive is as smooth as ever. All electrics are in good working order, as is the removable sunroof.
Aftermarket remote central locking was fitted to the vehicle by the previous owner, who also installed a CD player*. In my opinion these alterations bring the car into the 21st century without in any way detracting from the fact that it is an icon of the 1980s.
The alloy wheels are the only other part of the car that has been updated from the standard factory setup, and are shown clearly in the photos.
The car has had the entire exhaust system replaced earlier this year, a new battery fitted in 2010, new spark plug leads fitted in 2010, and new rear brake discs and pads also fitted in 2010.
I have MOT certificates back to 2003, and a service history for 2006, 2009, 2010. The current MOT runs out in July 2011, as does the road tax.
This is a fantastic car, perfect for summer, and great fun to drive!
The vehicle is located in North London (N4). Contact David on 07818 441643 to arrange a viewing.
£1249 ono.
* Original Toyota radio/cassette player also included in the sale.
