Hi everyone. Hoping to buy a Mk1 in the next couple of days as a toy. Had a G reg many years ago and want to renew my love affair with them. I've seen a little red beauty and may take the plunge. Leather interior needed so hopefully someone will be able to advise me as to the best place to source one.

as for leather, they came standard with 1988 onwards tbars i think.
if yours is in bad repair you may need to get it recovered.
they don't come up for sale that often in good nick

Just on my third one so love the cars. First two were leather and this new one is cloth and definitely pros and cons with each.
Cambridge not too far from me, whereabouts in Cambridgeshire?
Well I bought the car and have decided to keep the original cloth interior as it looks like it has just come out of a showroom.

Advice on fitting exhaust? Doesnt that go on the back?
I am no use on mechanical stuff but certainly others are.

We are starting to get a lot of red ones that are really red and not pink. Good car!
