hi guys, newbie to the site

Hi guys, Just a quick hello to everyone on here. I joined up for some advice, and to gawp at the projects on here.

I already own this ma61 celica supra,

and bought my girl an aw11 mk1b for christmas, As as she needed a toyota to call her own, (And i love mk1 mr2's)

It's a bit ropey round the edges though Will deffo need new sills, front wings and rear arches to make it last the distance, Plus a new rad and exhaust mid box,
but not really a big worry as my good mate mark is a damn good fabricator, and the mr2 came with some shockingly chavvy under wheel blue l.e.d.'s so he took them as payment for the future welding.

Will put up a project section when we start cracking on with the car, but for now, just wanted to say hello.

Also, As i need some new wings i've seen fibreglass replacements on ebay,

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MR2-MK1-OEM-St...item35ad1a5764

But would like some opinions from anyone thats bought them before good or bad
    thanks

    Hi there, and welcome...

Nice pics also!! I wonder who's going to drive the Mk1 the most...

Judging by the Supra - it's gorgeous(are those RS Watanabe rims??)!!
    - the resto that needs doing will be done extremely well...

Haven't used FG wings yet, myself; that may be about to change though!!

Where are you based?? Interested to hear more about that MA...it's delicious...

    Hey there!
Im glad you like the supra Thats my daily drive, and occasional drift car.
Standard engine, except a walbro, mushroom filter and straight through exhaust, but some suspension bits to prop it up in the corners. (Coilovers, braces ect) But, if you've ever driven a good one you know ther're just a bigger, meaty Ae86 corolla \ I painted it lexus briarwood pearl/ gloss black and satin black arches. Also theres a trd copy corolla spoiler on the back, which i had to chop and widen by 4" Was a pig of a job

The wheels are the maker really, i've been asked loads if they are watanabe's, But im actually happy to reveal and recommend them. Compomotive ML1590 wheels. In 15 x 9" and offsets front ET-14 and rear ET-24 Only cost 155 per wheel too, but you have to order them from the factory.
Im currently running on 195-50-15" toyos as they were cheap from camskill at 130 quid delivered Good tyres, but i'll probably get somthing in 205 55 next time around.

Im based in oxford, so you may even see it on the road one day

Welcome, great colour scheme on the celica supra! You definitely should make the new MR2 a baby version

I have fibre glass wings on my car. They are manufactured by honeybourne not carbenfibre though. they're pretty good. You just gave to fight with them a little bit to get them to sit right, I had to file bits down and fit/refit whereas original wings, which I think are still available you can just chuck on. I think choice depends on your budget!

Oh yes indeedy...she's lovely...a chassis is always more important than an engine(it's a shame some just don't see that)...
You paint her yourself?? And yeah, I bet widening an 86 wing wasn't fun!!
Good find on the Compos btw...not my thing personally, yet at that price you got all 4 for the cost of 1 Watanabe...nice and shrewd, we like that!!
