    New Mr2 owner

I thought i better say something before i forget lol.

I just bought (friday) an MR2 Mk1 japanese import for £700 and to my astonishment for the price I am over the moon. I will hopefully get some pictures on here soon and look foward to becoming a full member.

Cat C is a pretty hefty writeoff, so get it check over by a professional to see if its been repaired okay.
this way you are not driving a deathtrap. if it was written off in the uk you may be able to get the details.
Often they are cat d written off these days as they are not financially viable to repair
if repaired well then just drive it and enjoy

its not worth taking out fully comp insurance, as often the insurance won't pay out again on a cat C - but ask then to check for you.

nice colour - is it a respray or the original? (can't tell from the pic)

I've been told its the original colour but it does need a tidy up as its looking very dull in places.

The person i bought it off was the one who repaired it but he was told it was a cat D not a C. He works at my dads garage and repairs cat Ds all the time and they are repaired
properly so I do trust it, only thing is he said he was told cat D :S.

    a few more pictures

    Re: New Mr2 owner

Well I finally got insured yesterday, got home very excited to drive my MR2 for the first time and....... The battery is completly dead . So i've charged it over night (Not sure if it will help but the charger says its charged and the acid inside was bumbling) So hopefully I finally get to drive it tonite. As soon as I get a bit of money im going to spray the rear bumper and sort out the knicks and knocks round the car.

I will hopefully join the club fully as well and start a little progress blog
