SOLD: Good condition MK1 with engine trouble

Folks, after 6 years of ownership I am selling my 89 MK1 due to an unexpected and unknown engine problem.

The car has had a steady rebuild over the last 5 years, coming back onto the road in APR this year, I intended to run it over the summer and then to reap some enjoyment out of it before letting it go later this year.

It got it's Mot in APR 2010 and is taxed until the end of SEP 2010.

In addition to this it had all fluids changed in APR 10.
New plugs.
New Exedy clutch.

The car has also had new rear arches fitted and a full respray during the 6 years of my ownership.

It currently has very clean 15” OZ WRC alloys with Toyo tyres that have 1000’s of miles left on them.
Ultralite locking nuts.
Janspeed stainless exhaust system.

The car does run but sounds rough to say the least.

I’m letting it go as I have my funds and time invested in my ITR-DC2 project and don’t want to get into this one any further.

I want £800.00 ono for the car how it stands; or
£500.00 without the wheels/nuts and exhaust..

Failing that I will look to either Fleabay it or break it for parts.

I will miss her sorely to say the least, but she will make an excellent car for someone with more time and commitment who can diagnose rectify the mechanical fault.

Hi, I might be interested, is the car driveable at all ??? tinking of how to get it home as in south london so transport ocst could make it not worth it.

I liked the look of it, thought I would be different.

Good shape for the car I thought, not too different from the size of the original.
