My 1987 T Bar has just failed it’s MOT due to a number of minor faults but most significantly has suffered from some corrosion on the rear wheel arches. I moved house last year and the car was kept outside in the road which was salted regularly during the winter. I have been quoted approx £400 to weld the rusty bits plus cost of painting from my local garage. This does include the other minor bits and pieces that it has failed MOT on. Trouble is I haven’t got the time or inclination to repair her as I am busy decorating and was considering selling it soon anyway so ideally I want to sell the car as it is. The car has done 120,000 miles and has been serviced regularly and runs very well. It has 17†alloy wheels with tyres in good condition. The seats are unique having been re upholstered in light blue leather and are also in very good condition. A 6 disk CD Changer will also be left in the car when sold. I’m asking £500 which is a reasonable price considering the seats, wheels and CD must be worth that much but I just want the car to go. The car is easily repairable for somebody with good skills or it would be great for spares. The car is located in Wimbledon, SW London.
