Cars In The Park - CITP - 13th September 2009

    Hi all,

I just had a great day out on Sunday at Cars In The Park (CITP) at Newby Hall. This is an event that is held 2-3 times per year and brings together enthusiasts from all marques of sports and sports classic cars. There was some VERY nice machinery there at this weekend's meeting, namely 40 odd TVR's, 30 VX220's and Elises, Exiges, Cobras, Ferraris, Minis, BMWs, oh and the Lambourghini club that brought along 2 Countachs, a Diablo, a Miura! AND, a one off Lambourghini Monza 400! All cars are free to walk around and the owners are all welcoming and free to chat.

There is another one in September and so I thought why not get a MK1 group there, especially as there wasn't a single one there this time and only a couple of MK2's. The next one is being held at Harewood House and so is about in the middle of 3 regions! North West, North East and Yorkshire.

    Harewood House site:

The CITP site (albeit a bit basic) is below:

It is on the 13th September and we need to be arriving before 11am, preferably about 10am ish.

Entry is only £6 per car with driver and one passenger. Not only is this good value on its own but this price ALSO includes entry to the house and grounds, which is a massive saving over the normal price for two of around £25!

If you're interested in attending this then show interest on this thread and I'll start the ball rolling to get a MK1 area sorted.

    Cheers
    Tom

PS: The Miura was up for sale, open to offers of around.... £350,000!
