Aye, thanks for the pics so far! I'll try to upload mine this week (I was gonna say there aren't many as I wasn't in a photographic mood and my battery was flat - but there's 54!! ) and put them on here... Well, some of them. We all know what MR2s look like after all. (No people photos from me this year unfortunately).
I absolutely loved the social side of it though. I hardly saw any of the rest of the show - though I'd never planned to as I really just wanted to see people I'd not seen in a while. In that respect it was ace. I reckon it was the best JAE I've been to - out of the 4 I've been to so far.
Highlights for me? Getting lost trying to get to the MR2 Village (I'd been misdirected at the entrance), parking up in the show & shine car park where there was only one other entrant, and being told I could enter if I wanted... So I did, having made absolutely no effort at all. Unfortunately another car joined and entered... still at least I came third! (Out of 3!!! ) Wait until I upload the photos of the other two - they were gleaming, mine... well, wasn't!!
What else? Staying up late and chatting with a few of the other guys - notably Ben, Jo and Chris (Mk1 Chris) as we ended up being (so it seemed given the lack of lights and noise elsewhere) the last awake... Oh, and Jo's dog making love to Ben's arm... Haribo Vodka...
Awesome weekend. Many thanks to Chris for sorting out the Mk1 club side of things.
Loads of Mk1s there in the end, though not as many Mk1 club members as there could've been, so not a huge impact in that respect. But still, was definitely nice to see the Mk1s well represented.
Plus I ended up talking to general public show-goers for more than an hour on Sunday morning about the Mk1 - hopefully some new members there. Then as I was leaving (I was the last person to leave the MR2 village) someone else who was visiting the park came over to chat - apparently they'd owned a late (G-reg) Mk1 when the cars were younger too...!
Randy little sod! That's the last time I make a fuss of him... :POriginally Posted by Monkeymax

sorry
I liked the fact that on Saturday mine was the best example of a Mica Blue Mk1 on the IMOC stand, possibly in the MR2 village.
It was also the only one there, which is why it was the best.
On Sunday, another turned up so I was second.
But it has swanky colour-changing paint though!Originally Posted by Kateg28
Oh, sorry I missed saying goodbye to you when I left, Kate - I couldn't see you around
Lol! Don't worry about it, it was pretty funny! Perhaps next time I'll bring Millie so his attention is divertedOriginally Posted by mr2mk1chick
