Hi all,

I was brought to this forum through tragic circumstance.

I bought my MR2 last summer from a good friend of Darren Trewin who I believe was an active member of the MR2 Mk1 Club judging by the number of club magazines I was given. Darren tragically passed away in a car accident in January 2017 - https://www.devon-cornwall.police.uk...8-ac4d5331cbb7 and his friend became the custodian of the MR2 after his death. I don't know if Darren used this forum much but found his name amongst a post for the Silverstone Classic 2016 where he was listed as attending

Hello Mechrob. Welcome to the forum.
I don't recall Darren but that's no surprise, I'm terrible with names. Sorry to hear of his accident though.

So what's the link between you apparently in California and the southwest of England? And tell us about the car you bought.

I'm happy to read it if you want to write it down.
Feel free to ask questions. Jimi and I (amongst others) pretty good on technical stuff. I've had my MR2 for more than a decade and it's spent most of that time in bits.
Wonder if I can remember how to drive a manual? Might find out next year if it passes an MOT.

I'm sorry to say I'm highly suspicious of this thread, when I first read it it seemed vaguely familiar. After some searching I found this thread from 2020 http://www.mr2mk1club.com/showthread...490-new-member looks like this one is a copy/paste job Why would anyone do this ?
