Can also confirm that the pump only runs when the engine is turning over or running. If its been stood I just blip the starter and leave the IGN on. Let the pump run on and crank again after it cuts back off.

Running the pump on IGN does seem wrong

Thanks for all replys will look into this, but at the moment am very unwell so car will have to wait plus exaust and manifold are off car at mo so cant do much with it but if i find anything when back together will post
forgot to say have after market pump from merlinsport which has always made buzzing sound from new this is what i can here and which used to stop after a few seconds but now is continous.
