I am selling my car. It is one that has been owned by club members for most of the last 10 years. I first saw it when it was owned by Tommy (Coverco) and I decided there and then that this was the type of mr2 I wanted. In March 2016 I eventually got my hands on it and I’ve very much enjoyed owning it. It is the 4th mk1 that I have owned and is definitely the best. I am selling it because my mother-in-law has given me her mk3. I can’t keep both and have decided that the mk3 will be a better long-term prospect as a daily driver.

Here's a link to the restoration that Tommy did: http://www.mr2mk1club.com/showthread...d-(56K-Beware)

There are a couple of bad points about the car. The handbrake is pretty useless. I have had it tightened before an mot and it works fine for a couple of months, before it starts to go again. I tend to just park it in gear these days, but it's something I had on my 'to do' list. The other bad point is the paintwork on the front bumper. It was pretty poor quality when I bought the car, but hitting a pheasant didn't improve it! It looks ok from a distance, but again it was on my 'to do' list. Other than that I think this is a pretty great car! Here's a link to the Gumtree ad: https://www.gumtree.com/p/toyota/toy...w11/1294406253

I am asking for £3200 in the ad. I am happy to negotiate, especially with a club member!

I'll add some photos to this thread soon.
