Thanks Paul - as my knowledge of mechanicals / welding is limited, the plan is to buy a honest club car that will be trouble free. So far all the classics I have owned have never let me down.
I don't mind keeping on top of the work once it's at a very good standard because then all the items are routine & preventative maintenance.

My first impressions
Oh my god…no power steering ! I cant remember cars were ever like that.
Fantastic short shifter, so precise for a 30yr old car
Good acceleration in 2nd and 3rd gears
Awesome sounding exhaust
Great visibility from drivers seat
Very good handling when on the move, great suspension set up
After the test drive I jumped back into my daily driver, an old Lexus 430 …and thought I was in a 4x4. I couldn’t believe how low the Mr2 was compared to a normal car. I had to recheck my seat and thought my wife must have been playing with my seat settings

The standard 4age is a great little engine and it is standard, good luck finding a car
