E733LFH for sale due to ill health

I've thought long and hard about this for several months now, and I can genuinely say that I'll be gutted to see both my MR2's go.

This is a very well know car in the club and ideally I would like it to go to another member, hence for the time being it is only being advertised on here - the car was previously owned by Tommy (Coverco) who really did a great job on making this a very solid car, in fact, during my ownership it has been to three different garages and they have all commented on the condition of this car. It won best coupe at Tatton Park last year, and has only done 10,000 in the last 10 years (less than 79,000 in total) which can be verified here - https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk

I'm not going to bore you with loads of cliches - you all know a lot about these cars, and a lot of you know this car very well. During my ownership it has had £400.00 on improving small areas of paintwork, but other than that it has just required the brakes servicing for its MOT in 2015, and this year it passed first time having done less than 2000 miles in the last 12 months.

Anyway, I'll let Tommy pick up the story in his own words from when he advertised the car in October 2013.

"Before I start I need to say that when I bought the car in 2006 it was a category C write off and it states this on the log book. On 20 year old cars this is quite common as a simple dent in the front wing can cost more to repair than the book value of the car, it would appear my car had a small bump on the front passenger wing, if this puts you off then read no further.

Right for those of you still reading the car has had both front wings replaced, both rear quarters replaced, the front valances and bumper bar were also replaced. These were all genuine Toyota replacement parts and cost a small fortune (all bolts were replaced with stainless). The sills have also been stripped inspected and replaced as required using the sill panels available on Ebay. The car was resprayed in the original 3E5 Super Red. There is a full project thread of the rebuild on many of the MR2 forums. Whilst in my ownership I have done a lot of work on the car and replaced many parts, a list follows however I suspect I may miss some of the jobs or parts I have replaced as they are so numerous:

    New Clutch
    New Radiator
Fully poly bushed and all suspension arms powder coated
New rear callipers and discs and pads
    Twosrus rear tie rods
New Toyota (and I mean new) alloys and Yokohama A539 tyres including the spare which has never been used
    Stainless Braided brake lines
    Droplinks all round
Supercharger rear lights with proper lock and fog light conversion
    Electric aerial
    Short shifter
    Option tuning steering wheel
    Reverse glow dials
    Auto up drivers window
    MR2 MK2 turbo seats fitted
    Tinted rear windows
    Lights on buzzer modified
    LED interior light
    K&N Filter
    Stainless steel mongoose exhaust
    New battery
    Clear indicators and side repeaters"

The car is currently taxed, and tested until 20th June 2017 so it can be test-driven anytime and has done just over 78,000 miles.

These cars are going up in value, however I am only asking £3000.00. The car is located in Pudsey, Leeds.

There are some recent photos below, and if you require any further information please do not hesitate to get in touch on 07903 703034 (Paul). If I don't answer, please text me and I'll call you back when I'm free.

    It's a shame you're selling.

Here's the thread from when Tommy sold it: http://www.mr2mk1club.com/showthread...Super-Red-MK1b

And here's the restoration thread: http://www.mr2mk1club.com/showthread...d-(56K-Beware)

Thanks guys, I've nearly put it up for sale half a dozen times already this year, but I finally decided there's no point it sitting and not being used.

I have no idea if it is still for sale but I am impressed that you joined the forum in 2010 and have waited 6 years to make your first post!

    Hi there,
Your message will have sent, it's just that you don't have this option enabled in your settings:

"Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default"

Make sure you keep on top of your PM's as well, as as a non-paid member, you only have an allowance of 5. This is easily rectified by joining up to the club as a Paid Member! Only £10 and it comes with loads of other benefits.

    Cheers,
    Tom
