Who would have believed that the weather at the weekend would be nice and sunny considering it is the Wednesday before, cold and damp, well that’s exactly what we got! It was raining slightly on the Friday afternoon on our way to Eastbourne but that was the end of the wet weather. Early Saturday morning blessed us with clear blue sky. We arranged to meet in a car park outside Halfords in the Hampden park retail area, near to where our hotel was and left sharp at 8.45am for our short journey to the sea front and the show venue at Western Lawns opposite the Grand Hotel. There were 4 mk2’s, and 5 mk1’s on the Saturday and 3 mk2’s 5 mk1’s and 1 mk3 roadster on the Sunday. It was a very good turnout both days and the sunny weather brought the crowds out. After a long day on Saturday we returned to our hotel to freshen up and change ready for our evening meal out at the “Rodmill” a flaming grill pub/restaurant where we feasted on tender pieces of steak, lamb and pork.

On Sunday we met at the same car park nice and early. Sunday was very similar to Saturday. Our location at the show was near the music stage so we were entertained for most of the weekend with live music from some very good bands. Eventually at 5.00pm it was time to make our way home tired but feeling happy after a really great weekend.
