EVENT DETAILS;

Introduction
The list below details our proposed events in the south east region. There will most likely be additional events that we will be arranging as we go through the year. On the other hand if there is no response to a listed event then that event may be cancelled due to a lack of interest. So it is recommended that if you intend coming to an event please let us know either by email or preferably by posting on the club web site forum.

Some of the events require an individual application to be made together with a donation. This is for the show’s insurance purposes. We can supply you with a PDF copy of the application forms or you can obtain them direct from the show’s web sites. Please be aware that these show’s are very popular and are often full before the show date so don’t leave it until the last moment to send those forms off.

27th & 28th March (Easter Weekend Sunday and/or Monday)
Festival of Steam and Transport Chatham Dockyard (£5 donation)
Individual application required
Only Mk1 MR2’s are eligible for this event as the cars need to be 25 years or older to enter. (although early model MK2’s can now enter but they are very rare). This is not an event for petrol heads. The display of cars is only a minor part of the transport festival. We have been to this show many times and can report a fantastic day out exploring the historic dockyard at Chatham. Apart from the indoor museum of marine vessels you can board the different war ships and submarine. If you wish to join us at this event you must obtain an application form either from Alan Cayzer or direct from the dockyard as although clubs are welcome you must apply to register your vehicle and make a donation of £5 on an individual basis. In the morning we will be meeting in the large car park adjacent to the entrance and go in together so we can be placed next to each other.
Contact at the Dockyard is Alana Marie Almond. Tel: 01634 823816.
