    1988 MR2 MK1b T-Bar in white for restoration with 12 months mot

Hi Guys ,thinking of selling my 1988 t-bar restoration project ,as i am busy restoring another car.Would be grateful for some valuation feed back on car.Has 12 months mot ,has 77490 on clock but cant validate mileage ,will require new rear wings and leather seats recovered as they are badly split.Rest of body and interior in good condition, service history, glass bags and blinds and tool kit ,reliable driving car that doesn't jump out of 5th gear , will make a great rolling restoration project. Thanks in advance for feedback Gordon.

My garage failed mine for corrosion on the arch with less rust than that! 1,000 - 1,250? 1,500 tops I'd say.

Id say its more realistic to expect 700-800.

Unless it has been done, my guess is that the sills will need plenty of work, Is there evidence of rust at the bottom of the A & B pillars? have you had the skirts off to look?
Looks like you got lucky with the MOT

    I'd say around 900-1100

This max, I'd be inclined to say the lower end for sure.

    Good luck with the sale.

Low mileage but with no docs it's difficult to prove.

I'd agree with chrys as we've both spent money on bodywork and knowing how bad mine was I was considering selling it before I had mine repaired and it was unsellable as a whole. So 700 would be an idea

Agree, £700 would be realistic, the car i got for spares cost me a fraction and has similar rust issues, but that was a lucky buy admittedly.

1988 MR2 MK1b T-Bar in white for restoration with 12 months mot for sale

Hi Guys thanks for your replys to my valuation request , i have decided to sell the car and downloaded some more photos.MR2 good points include 1) 9 months mot till 14/1/17, 2) engine serviced 3000 miles ago 3)service history back to 2007 4)new dizzy cap and H T leads 5)recon alternator + fan belt 6) new radiator , cooling system flushed and refilled with genuine Toyota red coolant. 7)new rear pads fitted. 8)all electrics work except tape player , Toyota radio still works.Bad points are rusty rear wings, both seat covers split, chip in windscreen the size of a 20p (not an mot issue). Im looking for £650 which i think is a fair price considering the work done and the valuation feedback , please e-mail me gordonmccormick@hotmail.co.uk

In all honesty (and just trying to be helpful) I think if you are serious about staying form at that price, you will be selling for a long time.

    Good luck
