    anytime mate I'm off work till the new year now hoping to get some work done on the car whilst I'm off appreciate any help unfortunaly no experience of taking a engine out its in my red donor car, I need to get it out and on to the engine stand so I can tidy it up before I put it in the white one

    ok, are you aware that the engine will have to come out from underneath without dismantling it and a lot of jiggling? an engine crane might not be the most helpful as i don't think they have a long enough chain to get it below the car. Im not sure how most people get them out without a lift or pit.

    might after do that with mine Douglas is it easy to do ? my concern is taking parts off then forgetting where it goes on the rebuild

    I think most of it can only go on in a certain way. But if you're worried just take stacks of photos so you can go back to them
