Dave, the car looks beautiful. Good quality retrim and body repairs. Sounds like a bargain for someone. I wish you good luck with the sale

That's a crying shame.

There's no rust on my car. But there are some sizable holes where the rust fell out.
Thanks guys. I'm gutted and it was a tough decision but there we go. In a few years time when austerity is over I hope there may be another!
Sold it to a very nice chap. Glad to be going to a good home.
Shame all the same.
Will you keep reading the site and maybe look for another in the future? Or move on to some other classic?
I always fancied a Dolly Sprint but the rust put me off. Or a Corolla AE86 but standard ones are like hens teeth. How about an MA61 Celica Supra?
Good job I don't have room for all my desires.
All the best
James

Hi James
I think at the moment I will be focusing on a lot of house DIY. Looks like we are buying the housing equivalent of a MK1 MR2 that is no longer in the best of health (and 100 years older).
However, I anticipate either getting the 10 year itch in 2025 and finding a MK1 (your one should be finished by then?!) or alternatively may go for some silly big Citroen as the faaaamily motor, which will at least be able to get the whole clan in it, although probably less reliable than the MR2....
I will be keeping an eye on the forum of course
