Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, we know it's due to rain soon so the tents are all hastily dismantled and packed away and we gather to make plans for the day

Unfortunately the weather does mean we pack up the stand Gazebo early when the rain eases slightly.

Can you identify the people in the photograph ? If so the Police would like to hear from you on ......

Whilst Bill waves us goodbye until Tatton, he also illustrates how the Mk1 makes such a great family car.

Its ability to transport everything the average family (2.5 children and huge dog) need for a fortnight high speed camping holiday in the Lake District was rarely mentioned in car reviews of the 1980's.

A big thank you to everybody at the show, you really are the most friendly and helpful gang.
If you were there I hope the pics remind you of great times.
If you weren't I hope it makes you want to give it a try next year !
    John.

I'll post up a bit more in the coming days, but I just wanted to say thank you to all that attended!

Having 33 Mk1's on the stand and out on track made me very proud, and it's days like the Saturday that make all the hard work worthwhile.

Lots of fantastic memories and great to meet so many new members.

I'm now settling in to a few weeks of rest and relaxation (and sun, wine, cheese, baguettes etc.)

    Cheers,
    Chairman Tom

France actually, but you can't beat a leffe!

A week in the Jura, followed by three nights in Alsace, sandwiched by two nights in Champagne district.

We've just spent the afternoon at a local village festival that just so happened to be this weekend. Very typically French with lots going on, but the bar was crazily cheap!

    Good times!

PS: Yes, that is 35p for a glass of local wine!
