1987 Toyota MR2 Mk1 in silver.

It's done 106 thousand miles and has a very straight body. Previous owner had the car for 8 years.

The previous owner had been using it daily, but then let the MOT lapse and it stood for a couple of years.

When I put a new battery on it, it fired up first time and the idle came down to a steady 8/900 revs when warm. There are no visible oil or water leaks and it is mechanically sound. No service history unfortunately.

Known faults:

• Only one of the headlights pops up
• Slight amount of damp in the boot and looks like previous damp in the drivers and passenger side carpets
• Interior blowers not working; I'll investigate this before the buyer collects
• When pulling the boot, fuel cap and engine lid handles, there is a slight delay, but I think this is purely down to lack of use.
• No stereo fitted

Onto the good things. The engine is good and strong and all electrics work except for the interior blowers (which will be investigated). The car comes in a rare silver colour and the body is nice and straight except for a slight dent on the rear nearside wing, which is pictured. It's done relatively low mileage for the year and with a bit of TLC I'm sure this could be in daily use. I'm only selling it due to not having the time to get it through an MOT and also the fact that I live 70 miles away (I don't have a drive way at my current house).

The interior is in great condition except for the damp on the carpet, and the slightly rough ash tray, but I'll hopefully replace this before the buyer collects the car.

The car doesn't have any MOT or tax, but it had never failed an MOT, merely just the MOT had been allowed to lapse.
