    Wings and Wheels Groombridge

This was the first time for me at Groombridge, I’d heard good reports about it but quite frankly I didn’t think it was that good. It has the potential to be a really good show but thought it was let down by poor preparation and lack of organization. The ground was quite rough. There were areas where we were placed where all the cars were cramped in tight spaces up to four cars deep so we couldn’t actually put on a display yet other areas had just a few cars with vast open spaces behind them. Also there was nowhere to buy a cup of tea nearby despite a ban on the mini gas stoves on site so it was a good job we brought it along then! On a positive note, there were a lot of cars, those that you could see of course plus there is a large forest where you could roam for hours. However, we weren’t there for the forest we were there to show our cars. It was such a shame that I was disappointed and now not so sure whether I want to go again next year.
