Great day out yesterday, the roads were just what the MR2 was made for, particularly the last stage to Mold. Well done Bill! I only did 319 miles but that is probably more than the car has done in a day for many a year. Hope to make the Peak District run.

Glad to hear you all had a good run. I was thinking of you making the most of it - glorious sunshine for much of the day at home. Gutted to not be able to make it, but the night before, I found out why I shouldn't go - the inside of my distributor cap beggared the question 'how is she still running - at all?' See post on the mechanicals forum. To cast the widest net possible though - can anyone tell me the part number(s) for the bearing and 'dust seal' on the dist drive shaft that keeps the oil back from entering the distributor body? Toyota say they can't find such a part on their diagrams?

Cheers all and sorry to wander off topic

    Julian

Scratch that request - I've just dug out the details for the bits from Simply Bearings in an old post by Gary. Thanks Gary

hi , great run out and when the roads were coach and Sunday driver free in the afternoon it was stonking . the Elise wasn't hanging about what passed us near bala , a pretty impressive with the foot long flames coming out of the exhaust on the over run , but i think tom would have give him a shock if he had gone after him lol . it was nice to met up again and it was a laugh .

    pics of the day .

It was a good day out Tommy, the last hour had some crazyfast roads to finish off.

The lazy eye kit was not the gadget of the day... Tom is slowly turning his car into KITT.... heads up display FTW!
