1989 Helios Blue T-bar 60k Miles, Mint Project in Pieces
Hello,
I've finally decided to sell my Mk1.
It's been sat on axle stands, with all the underside dismantled for about 15 years now! I never found time to put it back together and now I've got two toddlers I've got no chance!
The good:
- Mint Helios Blue T-Bar shell
- was resprayed just before it went off the road
- new windscreen, ALL the black trims, seals (HUGE cost!)
- Black leather interior, great condition (No cracks)
- Private Reg "J MR2 16V"
Tons of new parts to fit:
- Wing mirrors
- Wipers plus arms
- Koni shocks
- Eibach Springs
- TRD bushes
- Whiteline ARBs
- Strut Braces (Genuine Cusco)
- Bearings/Ball Joints
- Brake Parts (Calipers etc)
- Fuel Pump (uprated)
- Mongoose exhaust
- Recon Steering Rack and Drive shafts
- Nakamichi stereo
- £1400 Rays 15" 6 spoke dished alloys (boxed)
All the underside components have been shot blasted and zinc plated, including all the bolts! Plan was to powder coat some of them.

Bad bits:
- It's in pieces!!
- Fuel tank and coolant pipes are off the car (tricky to refit without a ramp!)
- Engine hasn't been turned over in 15 years
I'm moving in 10 weeks and need it gone... I don't have the time to rebuild it myself.
It will need quite a bit of work to get it to a point where it can be pushed onto a low loader. The ideal option is someone has a donor car and brings assembled "underside components" to bolt on (and then build up the new bits later).
