Hi guys :)
HI all.
My name is Goncalo and I am living in Hertfordshire.
I am Portuguese and I have a Corolla Twin Cam (AE86) back in Portugal.
It has a considerable number of mods. :)
http://ae86pt.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=55
It is a Portuguese forum , but the pictures are nice to see :eh:
I am now looking for a Mr2 mk1 so that I can have a "toy" here in uk.
And it has to be the mr2 mk1 because I can´t be away from the 4age
The AE86 engine uprated parts might make their way to here
I am looking for a Tintop mk1b (I don´t need to see the sky) without rust ....
The engine can be on its way because I am probably going to rebuild it anyway.
I am willing to pay extra for cars with suspension/chassis mods.
Let me know if you spot on :P
PS : anybody from around Waltham cross ?
good work with the forum , it looks great and the ambient is great too.
Been reading it for a good while now :)

Re: Hi guys :)
Hiya and welcome
you may struggle to find a tin-top mk1, but the sunroof versions are common and don't leak like the t-bar ones often do.
check out the for sale page for some good bargains

Re: Hi guys :)
Hello,
I am in Hertford  so not too far away but I am no use. I am one of those who have to think about where the petrol cap is........
(hoping to do basic car maintenance class in New Year :+: )

Re: Hi guys :)
thanks for both welcomes :)
Kateg28 as you can see in the link from my first post I can do quite a bit of maintenance / fixing.
Do let me know if you need any help with anything.
I should be able to help :)

Re: Hi guys :)
Hi chap... ...missed this thread first time round, oops!! :shifty:
Your '86 sounds like it's a good build...however, we cannot see the topic without forum registration, which is a shame... :(
As already mentioned, UK cars were sunroof(or T-bar) only...tintops are JDM imports, and so a bit rare... :-:
However, cars DO come up...it's just a case of waiting, or settling for a sunroof UK car(not the worst, still less flex than a T-Bar)!! :+: :+:
Is there anywhere else we can view some pics of the Hatchi?? And is it a Levin, or trueno?? :)

Re: Hi guys :)
outboard injectors
the engine has 8 injectors at this stage :)
the outboard ones only turn on after 4000 rpm and when the gas pedal is half way down

Always had a thing for AE86s. Looks awesome :+:
Welcome!

Re: Hi guys :)
Thanks for those pics...that's a lovely zenki Levin... :o :+: :+: :+:
...with an AMAZING engine...dual injectors/288 cam/etc etc...
You use original T50, or have done a W-conversion?? ~23% loss seems maybe a little high?? :eh:
Also, why such a stagger on cams(I do have a guess, lol)?? Usually, I only see 1 step difference(i.e: 272/264. or 288/296)... :wtf:
Interested in ECU, also... ;)
Working on a far less impressive setup myself, would be great to talk properly(I'm stuck in Oxon)!! And find you an AW, of course... :+:
Still stunned...what a machine!! And doing what they're best at... phenomenal...

Re: Hi guys :)
thanks :)
it is a nice car and I am reluctant to sell it , but I wanna give a go at a mr2 mk1 :D
th original T50 is in.
I was running semi slick tyres , thats why the losses are so high.
the intake cam is 288 duration and 8.5mm lift and the exhaust cam is 272 duration with 8.1mm lift
ECU is a basic megasquirt v2.2 running the hires code
it would be great to talk properly indeed , maybe I will find an aw11 to have a look at, next to where you live so that we can have a chat :)
thanks for the kind words :)

Re: Hi guys :)
You should be proud...
Hmmm...can you really not afford to keep her and do a cheap AW?? You'll regret selling her, for sure... :(
Tyres explain loss, yes, btw...still surprised at cams, too... :+:
Trying to get a car myself at the moment(long story), everything's against me though...
There ARE decent ones about though...and don't worry, we'll meet up somewhere!! :+: :+:
