Kent Run 9th April

We can now confirm this years Kent Run will be held on 9th April 2017.
Further details will follow.

I'll try my best to be there :-)

We will be there as long as it's not a fast mad one as I have just rebuilt my engine again and tonight was the first start up.
So will not want to push it to hard as I won't have many miles on it.

Hmmm, I swore I was coming this year but my motor is sounding like a bag of spanners and I'm not going to get it rebuilt before then.
I'll look at the route and see 'cos i'd really like to come. At least on a bit of it.

I think everyone would agree that the previous Kent runs were a bit frantic, that's why we have found a new route which will be at more gentle speeds.

You can come and meet us at the starting point, we should be there for about an hour or so before starting off. I need to confirm but we are planning to meet at the Hythe services on M20 Junction 11 from 10.30am

Part one of the new route for you
PLEASE ENSURE YOU BRING 2x£1 COINS FOR PARKING
This is a much more of a chill out drive and a chat than the normal manic Kent coast run, also a bit shorter, meeting up at 10.30 leaving around 110.30 from Hythe services, an hours drive to the Battle of Britain memorial, stay there for an hour, then a 40 min drive to Samphire Hoe. So bring the missus along and take for for a romantic walk :) This is where the run will end as it sits on the M20. I will however after about an hour take a run back to the services or Folkestone seafront if anyone is interested.

Starting at the services So please make sure people get fuel (or some food) as there are NO fuel stops along the way
The Starting point is
Stop 24 Services Stanford Intersection Hythe Kent CT21 4BL.

This end point is the Battle of Britain memorial Post code CT18 7JJ. If we could make sure people are respectfull when entering and leaving!!! and its £1 to Park, We Will be staying here for 1 hour, there is a cafe with some sandwiches, and pasties, or bring a pack lunch.
Highly recommended to walk to the front as the view from the cliffs is amazing!
also if wanted there is an experience (museum part there for £6)

Second Part of the run,
Ends at samphire Hoe post code Dover CT17 9FL
Again £1 to park, A nice tunnel running in a out. some lovely walks and again a small cafe doing a few bits of food right on the Sea front again lovely views, head into the coach/overflow car park for some good pictures of the cars together
People need to be careful coming out of Dover heading towards Samphire Hoe, If people come off roundabout and go hacking up Dual carriage way, they will miss samphire hoe turn off, and there isnt a 2nd one..
