Ok another meet at the Tower Arms in North Weald. (might be South Weald, Paul will put me straight soon). I know how to get there, just don't know where it actually is ( don't try the Apple iOS maps, it might not be there either).
1pm in the car park on Saturday 29th September.

Cool, just checked wit the better half and we are good for the 29th. And yes it is SOUTH Weald. North Weald is nearer Epping, but also has a good pub with a big car park, maybe we can try that some time?

Where are you located? Id love to see it when its done...so few original MK1a's left unfortunately.
The photos were taken in 2007 , the blue one has changed hands now but was owned by a chap called Ashley. Rare colour that and there is one very low mileage one floating around.Quote:

It is indeed a rare colour. I had one a long time ago..it was always my favourite one. I also had a white MK1a, a Mica MK1b Tbar and a red MK1b tbar with black bumpers and side mouldings which looked pretty good as mods go.
If all goes to plan, i may have another blue MK1a like the one in the picture.
Good luck with your MK1a Ollie...would be great to see the progress on here. I live near stansted airport so will no doubt see you at a local meet one day.
