Toyota racing at Lydden hill race circuit 17th July 2010
Hi all
A reminder that racing at Lydden hill will soon be upon us.
If you dont know of the existance of Lydden hill you should ;)
This is the home of rally cross for many years.
Ive been to watch racing there since the 1980's wether it be cars, bikes and even truck racing. (years ago myself and a felllow apprentice made some wheel spacers for Pat Dorans RS 200 rallycross car!!!!!)
Pat Dorans family now manage the curcuit.
Its the only cuircuit i know that keeps you in the thick of the action as you can virtually see all the track where ever you stand. :+: :+:
http://www.lyddenracecircuit.co.uk/
Im looking for numbers to attend asap, as i will try and sort out a prime spot for the our cars to be positioned.

Re: Toyota racing at Lydden hill race circuit 17th July 2010
Stuart Goodacre & I will be attending in our official capacities to present the Driver of the Day Trophy on behalf of the Club. Hope we get a good attendance. I have never been there so I look forward to a new experience. It sounds a lot like Malory Park

Re: Toyota racing at Lydden hill race circuit 17th July 2010
Linda Mark and myself will be there as well. We'll bring the gazebo and the flag. Who fancies a BBQ? By the way Barry said he would be coming as well. :+:

Re: Toyota racing at Lydden hill race circuit 17th July 2010
Yep I am planning to be there too
A BBQ sounds good Alan :+: , although that has probably sent the weather in a downward spiral

Re: Toyota racing at Lydden hill race circuit 17th July 2010
Hi all
Ive been thinking about a place to meet before attending the race meeting at Lydden.
As the days events start at 9 am i suggest meeting at The Holiday Inn Express, Upper Harbledown, Canterbury, Kent, CT2 9HX at approx 8.15am
This is approx 20 mins drive from the track.
For anyone who wants to meet before hand i suggest the Farthing Corner services (east bound) between junction 4 and 5 on the M2 and then onto the Holiday Inn.
Medway area members know farthing corner well and can meet others coming down from the M25 area (Alan, Debs Ben etc)
Approx time from farthing corner to holiday inn is again approx 20 mins.
Anyone wish to make comment please do so.
Im still trying to confirm the race day schedule and will post asap.
See you all soon
Lee

Re: Toyota racing at Lydden hill race circuit 17th July 2010
Yep that was quite a day, really enjoyed it but the time went so quickly. I'll upload some photos after the weekend, I don't think I'm going to get time tomorrow. If anyone else took photos please do upload them as I'm more of a snapper than David Bailey.
