Another £10 from me, I'll only be there on the Saturday so won't see you but will leave it with Bill. Really enjoyed the North Pennine run and hope to see you on another run so I can see the job Gary did on your car.

OK steady on................... I am out of work not homless and destitute!
I am very grateful for everybodies amazing generosity and kindness - you have really left me with no choice but to attend! It is 100 miles each way so it will hardly break the bank.
Insurance is now sorted thanks to Bill's advice - cheapest insurance I ever ever had I think - £93 for 3,000 miles and agreed value! Breakdown cover swapped from the other car for the day!
The car will have to go SORN at the end of the month so it will not be out then until the spring (all being well) so this will be its last run out of the year.
Many Many Thanks
Graham
While we're on the subject of charitable acts, is Tom doing a big 'feed the five thousand' pot meal thing tonight?
:>
Tom isn't going mate he is in Belgium for the F1 .
Two of the oldest Mk1s, on the stand at Tatton Park today (Saturday).

Thanks for another great weekend everyone, good mates, good food and plenty of alcohol, perfect. I even spent 10 minutes on the club stand on Sunday :-)
Great to meet such a good bunch of guys and gals, shame we couldn't do the full weekend! Unfortunately I seem to have misplaced my camera (small Samsung red camera) so I'm relying on any pics anyone else may have taken.
looking forward to the next club meet, definitely putting our names down for the Silverstone bash next year!
Scott & Bea
Thanks you to everyone for making it such a great weekend.
A big thank you to everyone who made the Pageant of Power another memorable event! Never a dull moment is spent at these events. But remember, there's no pulling the wool over our scrutineer's beady eye!
Scott did effectively ask for some pictures so here are some from Saturday.

Well what a hell of a brilliant weekend we had top fun and new to camping at tatton Scott & Bea were welcomed in to the mk1 camp and were a joy to meet and chat to and it was great to have Julian at the show and camping again .Sadly bill had to go early Saturday morning due to an recent operation he had was playing up but hats off to the lad for turning up Friday and setting up camp  ( you made the right decision mate but were missed that's for sure ps i have your seat at my house ) . The cars on the stand were all in fantastic clean condition and i would like to thank all the lads and gals who showed their cars for there effort and hard work for a very well presented stand we had  . I'm very pleased announce that the mk1 club stand had a car on it what won best mr2 in show , now this award is chosen across all the mr2 range models and trust me there were some very nice mr2's on show in different clubs at the show and its very hard to win but john's car did ( his reg is e9elf and is a white sunroof ) very very well done mate all your hard work has paid off  :D.
i will post pics tomorrow .
roll on next years shows and defiantly looking forward to another good SPUD time ;-)
Gary
Great to see everyone & without doubt the best camping set up we have had there in the few years I have been going. SPUD!!!!!!!!
I echo Garys comments.. the standard of the cars on our stand improves show by show, it was fantastic to see John get an independent award from the show organisers, he deserves it after all the time & money he has sunk into his car.
It was very difficult to pick the 3 winners for the club stand awards yesterday so I can only imagine how tough it is to make those calls on a show-wide basis!
Great see everybody on Saturday and thanks for everybody's kind comments and support. Sorry Bill had retired early - hope you are feeling better.
Graham
Hi guys
Great day had by me, Ed and Bertha (that's the car) - Bertha is very proud of her award and I didn't feel I could separate the two so they are sat together in the garage :)
John F - where did you get a mini elf mobile from?! - I want one!
Nattie
So after being inspired by John’s award I went a hunting for the next best thing and found http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fujimi-389...-/131175217101.
Maybe I can have a mini bertha (with a Japanese numberplate) after all :p
I've got a micro machines version of both of my mr2's http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_tr...at=0&_from=R40
Hi Nattie,
It's a 1/43 die cast model made by EBBRO and it is available in red, search on E-bay. It is actually the MK1a so it has black bumpers, side skirts and rear spoiler so you would have to paint over those in red. The interior is black with red inserts on the seats, I had to paint mine blue. The previous picture of mine shows the stock version next to my converted version. Got the numberplates off E-bay but then had to shrink the back one a bit as the back end of the model isn't quite GB spec and the space between the numberplate lights is too narrow ! I actually bought a cheap Solido Mk3 Mr2 and swapped the wheels off that to match my real Elfmobile. The lights dp pop up but at the moment the front passenger headlight sticks up a bit when it is shut. The other problem I haven't yet sorted is how to make or simulate the sunroof !
Here's a couple more pics of it. John.

Thank you Gary and Kris for your kind words. I didn't realise at first that it included all the Mr2's at the show, so now I'm even more pleased to have won!
I have always liked to keep my cars looking good whatever they are but I must admit to being particularly fond of cleaning my Elfmobile. There was after all 27 years accumulation to challenge me !
However I must own up to getting real mechanics to do the technical work for me, so I do feel a little guilty winning when I see and hear what other members of the club actually do for themselves.
I would like to say a big thank you to Gary for the various jobs he has sorted for me, without his help no way would my car have won !
Indeed thank you to Bill, Gary and the "Gang" we meet on the runs and at Tatton for making myself and my brother Martin welcome into the Mk1 fold. Hope to see you all soon, perhaps at one more run before the end of the season ?
John F.
Looks wicked!
Hi John
Apologies - I thought the stock version was your award - very doh of me! Your mini me is fab - will defo look into that and the site Gilles suggested.
Hope to see you soon
