Towing
Am thinking of using my Mk1 on the Harewood Hillclimb tuition day I got for Christmas. . . .
Has anyone fitted any of these, or got thoughts about how suitable they would be? The tow eyes mentioned in the newbie track day thread are a bit pricy.

Hi Howard, Never Never use the ones on the front of the MK1, they have been Known to rip the front bumper off.
see if there any articles warning of this.

hi , this only happens if the front bar is rotten , yours is solid mate but you are better using the towing eyes on the front chassis below the bumper . you could fit one of the extendable tow arms too that ,not that you will need it . its a Toyota not a ford and will do hill climbs all day long , mine does hill climbs everyday in buxton ( bloody big hills ) and loves it . enjoy your day out mate it sounds brilliant fun and will be good practice for the peaks run  .

hi howard, ive fitted a tow strap to my tow points behind the spoiller, works fine, and lighter than the original tow hook. looks cool too :), you can see a photo off it on the albums in community ,good look with the hillclimb. mike.

Nice and LOVE the off-set numberplate. I also run a mk1 MX5 and lots of owners make that mod. Not seen one on an MR2 before.

This happened to me. However I had it fully welded and plated and have no issues using mine again :)
