Kent Coast run.. 17th April

Hi all

As every year the Kent coast run is bring run mid April..
As always its back in sunday april 17th
Meeting at eureka burger king car park in Ashford
Just of junction 9 m20 at around 10.30.. normally leaving around half 11 after a chat.

Then off down to the coast for Fish and chips..
then out and about through some great kent roads.. finishing back at ashford

Covering around 60 miles.. so please make sure you has fuel before we start (we tend to loose some needing fuel)

please as always can people pass this to other MR2 clubs

for google directions to stick into you phones for sat nav
Well after some playing around i have the new route on google maps so people can import it onto their phone which may make life easier..
also here are the post codes for stop points incase anyone gets lost..
Currently works out around 60 miles.. which is about 2 miles less than the old route.. but some new and exciting roads..

we do also have a completely new route going a different way completely which will be run later in the year.. was test run couple years back and is much fun and would love to run it again..

any way this years route..

starting Burger king TN25 4BN

1st stop.. normally here for around an hour for people to enjoy fish and chips
pilot TN29 9NJ

Petrol stop here as i will need to fill up

then next stop will be Worlds wonder TN26 2LU
for just a make sure everyone is together

and finishing at
french connection TN24 0GA

Is everyone happy with length of route?

I would be up for this, but i may be in the MK2 as the Aw11 is currently off the road for a restoration (or at least enough to see it back reliably on the road). I assume SW20's are welcome? :)

If I get my brakes and tyres sorted I may feel more confident doing this, at the moment I can't stop or take corners fast at all....:D

Yep defo all mr2s as its done with imoc the oc and the dc

Do we need to sign up for this? Is it limited spaces?

I'm tempted for this now, but anxious of how my car will behave...

No need to sign up or anything like that. Just turn up. It's very easy to find the starting point, go down the M20, exit at Junction 9 (Ashford), take 1st exit at roundabout. You can see the large retail park on your right and we gather outside Burger King

If anyone makes it on Sunday please come and say hello. This is my Mk1 with a boot rack, that's me in the red cap which I shall be wearing on Sunday and that's my son Mark on the electric scooter, he'll be there as well. You can't really miss us.

Cheers Alan, looking forward to it. Just need a phone mount so I can get those routes on my google maps and use it as a sat nav.
