SUPERCAR SUNDAY - GAYDON MOTOR MUSEUM –
WARWICKSHIRE - SUNDAY 21st JULY 2002
Oh dear, another fine mess! This time the guilty
party was Richard Morgan. My son Thomas is rather keen on De Loreans, and the
Gaydon event is their clubs biggest turnout of the year. This is Thomas’s only
chance of the year to overdose on his favourite car, usually 24 or so turn up.
The morning arrived and we drove down in my Supercharger – not considered a
supercar by the shows organisers, in spite of the fact that it easily
out-performs several of the marques on display there. Unfortunately when we
arrived it turned out that I had got the date wrong and the event had taken
place the Sunday before. My sincere apologies to Thomas, Ted and Joan Collins,
and the several other members who turned up. We had no choice but to return home
to Loughborough and go to the Rainbows show that the club also attended that
day.
