NATIONAL KIT AND PERFORMANCE CAR SHOW -
CASTLE DONINGTON RACE CIRCUIT, Nr. DERBY - SATURDAY and SUNDAY 15th and 16th
OCTOBER 2005
The show was fairly well attended with 10 cars on
Saturday and 15 cars and one visitor with a MK1 on Sunday. Although the show
seemed in the first instance to be fragmented with the club and kit cars on the
infield away from the exhibition hall and the pits, it worked quite well with a
good walk to the various areas.
By 9am on Saturday the club flag was raised and flying in the breeze, the fog
quickly cleared away, the club banner and a gazebo followed making the club
pitch a little friendlier. We were then ready for all our members and visitors.
There was a good deal of interest from the general public and I am happy to say
that we enrolled 3 new members.
The track car was available for passengers on Sunday with four spaces which
were filled and thoroughly enjoyed with breath taking runs around the Donington
track.
It’s a really good venue and a unique show, let’s see more members there next
year - I am sure you will be impressed with the kit cars and the track day.
