JAPANESE AUTO AND PERFORMANCE CAR SHOW,
THORESBY PARK, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE - SUNDAY 26th JUNE 2005
This year’s show was a one day show so there is nothing to
report regarding it being a camping venue which is a great pity as the 2 day
event with camping as in the past has been a great success.
There were 8 cars on the stand all of a very good standard. There was a good
deal of interest from the general public, as in past years there were lots of
Celicas and Supras and other clubs were well supported also. Where are you all?
We need you at these events to encourage the organisers who put a lot of effort
into running shows in general.
The highlight of the day was provided by John Upton from Wainfleet in
Lincolnshire with his white Supercharger (sounds like a tale from the Knights of
old) John won the coveted prize of ‘Best in Show’, with all the flashy,
expensive Japanese cars around that was a wonderful achievement, congratulations
John.
Watch out for the dates of this show next year and make a point of attending
so that this event can be marked up as one of the outstanding shows in our
calendar.
