i noticed a loss of power recently and eventually traced it to the front caliper piston which wont retract on its own . i took the caliper off and rung my local autoparts thinking you can still get refurb kits, but he told me that they cant sell them anymore and can only supply professionally refurbed calipers on an exchange basis at the cost of £88+vat. does this sound about right or does anyone know of any alternatives , maybe time to upgrade?

IIRC price was around £35 for the front kit, but it does both calipers.
Brake International CLICKY used to do kits as well, and Biggred CLICKY2 does them.
I've never used either of them do can't vouch for the quality. The Toyota ones I have used and they are spot on :+:

The Toyota ones are definitely a better quality than the brakes international ones, unfortunately. Not that the brakes international ones are rubbish, just the Toyota ones last longer - in my experience.
