MR2 MK1 SUPERCHARGER for sale.
* 1989 TOYOTA MR2 MK1 SUPERCHARGER 4AGZE

9 MONTHS MOT
3 MONTHS TAX
MANUAL 5 SPEED
T-BAR

* GENUINE 1.6 SUPERCHARGED VERSION.
* 15" WHITE ENKEI ALLOYS WHEELS WITH GOODYEAR TYRES.

* THIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT MY FAVOURITE CAR OF ALL TIME AND I LOVE IT. IT WAS A RARE AND LUCKY FIND AND I WILL BE SAD TO SEE IT GO BUT NEEDS MUST.

* RECENTLY I HAVE SPENT A GREAT DEAL OF MONEY SERVICING THIS CAR.

* 2 MONTHS AGO (50 MILES AGO) I HAD A THOROUGH SERVICE CARRIED OUT INCLUDING NEW SPARK PLUGS, NEW OIL FILTER, NEW FUEL FILTER, GEARBOX OIL CHANGE, ENGINE OIL CHANGE, NEW BRAKE PADS FRONT AND REAR. PLUS ALL OTHER NECESSARY FLUID CHANGES AND ADJUSTMENTS. £300

* A WEEK AFTER THIS WAS DONE, THE CAR WENT BACK IN FOR SOME EXTRA WORK INCLUDING NEW WHEEL BEARINGS, A FULL SET OF FENSPORT BUSHES ALL ROUND AND BALL JOINTS. £200

* NEXT I HAD THE REAR NEARSIDE DRIVESHAFT COMPLETELY RECONDITIONED TO BRAND NEW (VERY EXPENSIVE) DUE TO THE INNER CV JOINT NEEDING A RE-FRESH, PLUS ANOTHER GEARBOX OIL CHANGE. £200

* I THEN HAD THE NEW CAMBELT, SUPERCHARGER + AUXILLARY BELTS FITTED, ALSO A NEW WATER PUMP AND OIL PUMP, PLUS ANOTHER OIL CHANGE, NEW TRACK ROD BOLT, THE IDLE CONTROL VALVE THOROUGHLY CLEANED OUT AND A GENERAL CHECK OVER. ALL COSTING £670!

* THE MR2 ALSO HAS A MK2 TURBO CLUTCH FITTED AS A NEW REPLACEMENT.

* THERE IS ALOT OF SERVICE HISTORY AND RECEIPTS WITH THIS CAR WHICH PROVE IT HAS BEEN VERY WELL LOOKED AFTER AND MAINTAINED BY ENTHUSIASTS SUCH AS MYSELF.

* I INSPECTED THE MR2 WHEN IT WAS UP ON THE RAMP IN THE GARAGE AND SAW THAT THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR HAD BEEN UNDERSEALED, PROVIDING SOME WINTER PROTECTION.

* AT PRESENT THE SPEEDO IS NOT WORKING AS IT NEEDS A PART REPLACED IN THE ENGINE BAY WHICH I HAVE NOT GOT AROUND TO DOING YET. THE MILEAGE IS CURRENTLY SHOWING 83000KM WHICH IS NOT ACCURATE.(THE REV COUNTER, FUEL GAUGE, AND OTHER DIALS WORK FINE).

* IT COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL MR2 MK1 STEREO.

* THERE IS SOME SLIGHT RUST CORROSION ON THE INSIDE DRIVER'S PILLAR, WHICH IS AN EASY FIX. A FEW VERY MINOR INDENTATIONS IN THE BODYWORK, ALSO SOME LIGHT SCRATCHES ON THE BONNET AND PAINTWORK ON ONE FRONT WING IS SLIGHTLY DIS-COLOURED, BARELY NOTICEABLE.

* ALL OF THE WHEEL ARCHES AND EVERYWHERE ELSE IS PERFECT AND ORIGINAL. I HAVE OWNED A FEW MK1s IN THE PAST AND KNOW THAT IT IS RARE FOR THE BODYWORK TO BE IN SUCH GOOD CONDITION.

* The interior is cloth and unmarked. The car has the up-rated Camry pulleys for the supercharger, a HKS air filter. The driver's window clicks when rising, but works fine, It has a CAT2 Immobiliser and two sets of keys and fobs. Also RAZO pedals.

* THE CAR HAS MIRRORED T-BAR ROOF PANELS.

* I AM IN BASINGSTOKE.

* ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE EMAIL ME.

* £2750

CHEERS. ROB

Sorry you're selling up Rob. I recently got an SC and was looking forward to meeting you at SE meets this year for a chat.

It's a breathtaking opportunity for someone at that price. Anyone who hasn't driven an SC will be astonished at the performance (...and I've only got a standard pulley!). This won't be around for long. It's absolutely beautiful.

Could I ask why the second gearbox oil change? They all crunch a little at cold I understand (mine does). So this shouldn't put anyone off if it's the case.

If I didn't have an SC I'd be driving over to Basingstoke right now :)

Hi Andy, thanks for your compliments to the car. It is remarkable in every way. I did intend on keeping it forever but my daughter was born a couple of weeks ago and keeping the mr2 is not as feasible as i thought. Such a shame but i have to put my priorities into perspective.

With regards to the second gearbox oil change. I had it serviced and this done the first time, then the drive-shaft was taken out to be reconditioned and re-fitted which let out some gearbox fluid during the process, so i just had it topped up again, that's all.

Cheers. Rob

Hi Rob, Andy passed your details on to me, i could be interested! I owned a Mk1 SC Super Edition that i had converted to a Mk2 Turbo engine, very sad to see it go :cry: Could i have a picture of the rust as mine had none at all, also i know the speedo thing is a bugger as mine had that too, mainly only seems to happen on the SC's for some reason! If you could pm me your phone number, or you could call me on 020 8491 7737 and we could have a chat about it.
Cheers Steve, ex South East area organiser for the Mk1 Club,

Lovely! Really lovely. Very familiar backstory to me as well. At a different time I'd bite your hand off. Good luck with the sale.

This looks a nice car at a good price :) You say that the odometer reads 80,000KM which isn't accurate but you might wanna give a ball park figure as to the actual mileage :+:

Great news Rob. And if you advertise again I think it should be £3500!

Yes, like others I wouldn't sell my car for any price.
