Was having a ponder whilst mowing the lawn about the 'paid club' thread and differences between offline and online... so I thought as a compromise between real-life and this interweb, we could have a mini-spiel about yourself thread - so you can get to know the person behind the allusive and ambiguous username!

I'll start :D

Hi! I'm Rob, also known as Handsome Rob. Not sure if it's a serious endearment or an ironic name thrust upon me by my mates hehe. I'm 23, from Woking in Surrey, and just finished Uni - did a degree in Marketing. Currently job-hunting like crazy. Had the MR2 for a couple of months now - this is my 5th car (Astra mk3, Focus, Classic Mini 1330 and a Calibra).
Random fact? Turns out I went to school and college with benedwards64!
For my likes and dislikes and what I'm into etc... see my signature!

Here is me from a month ago:

This looks like fun :D

Hi

I'm Ben. I'm 22, originally from Peaslake (small village near Guildford), Surrey. I've spent the last three years in and around Canterbury whilst I was at uni, and I've just accepted a job in Marlow, Bucks - so house-hunting like crazy at the moment! Hopefully I'll be able to attend plenty of area meets though - I'll certainly miss the Kent MR2 scene :( (and Pete's hot tub  )

I'm also getting married in about 5 weeks to Amie, who I met at college, and who is now working in the big smoke.

I've had my MR2 for just over a year now - bought it not really knowing much about them, but I've quickly come to realise how lucky I was in getting a solid, if slightly tatty, example :D . I've also gained a huge amount of invaluable knowledge from my membership and subsequent involvement in the club. Past cars include an AX, Clio and an Escort (fun, eh?) and I now bomb around in Amie's Puma if I need more than 2 seats.

Here's me:

I'll have a C please Bob...

Hello, I'm Caz and currently residing in Berkshire for my sins. I'm a Graphic Designer, been doing the job professionally for about 8 years now but started out age 10 on my first Mac - an LC475 complete with Photoshop 1.0. :geek:

My ambition to become the first female F1 champion led to a mis-spent youth working on and racing karts. My claim to fame (groan) is that I was racing at a little-known circuit nicknamed "Nutty" when a young boy called Lewis turned up for his first cadet kart race.

The Toyota thing came about after I was fortunate enough to win a session around Silverstone in a MKIV Supra with the late, great, Will Hoy - Toyota's team driver in the BTCC at the time. I also enjoyed a VIP lunch with the likes of Rob Gravitt & Tim Harvey. Through subsequent racing events, I met Will Hoy a couple of times and he always remembered me and said hello - even telling Eugene O'Brian to pop over and sign a shirt for me.

Present day and I rarely race these days, but make up for the lack of adrenaline by driving Murray, my MK1 and listening to crazy music (often at the same time). Currently teaching myself how to mix and will never say no to a cold glass of Rosé - unless I'm driving of course or it's 7am. I'll let you decide which one's a lie...

(Hey if it's free and I'm awake, why not? ;) )
