I've owned my mk1 for 3 years, just discovered that the club website has been updated so thought that I'd sign up. Will be paying for full membership next, somehow have ever quite gotten around to since I bought the car.

She's a 'crossover' mk1a in black (best colour), with 72k miles on the clock and 1 previous owner. She's been in storage for the last 18 months whilst I finished my degree and has only been back on the road for a few weeks. :D

Some of you might recognise her as I posted on IMOC for a while, before getting distracted by a large multi-marque forum.

Since these photos were taken the rust on the front valance has been sorted and a nardi steering wheel fitted. She'll be getting an Elise back box shortly.

Oh, and I have a blacktop 20v waiting to be dropped in....

Hello!
You're just down the road from me then (I live just outside MK). Would be great to see you at one of the Milton Keynes meets (though that'd mean I ought to go too! ) They're fourth Saturday each month if I remember correctly...

Welcome and come to a MK meet soon. The one in March had more MK1's than MK2's :D

My brother lives in MK and mother lives in Newport Pag, so often around and make a few of the MK meets. Hopefully see you soon

Glad to see someone else planning an Elise backbox ;)

I can (unofficially, before I get shouted at :D ) claim that they make an extra 3bhp over stock!

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'll try to get to the meet later this month if the car is back on the road, water pump failed this week

Fantastic, got the back box for £2 and fuel to collect so much cheaper than any other option :+:

Bargain! Get some pics up when you can - I'm always interested to see what people do with the Elise box. Have a look at Jinxy's if you can - This is an old photo, but the exhaust is still the same. He's extended the tail-pipes to make use of the existing cut-out and matched it the other side:

I won't show you pics of mine - everyone's seen it several times by now
Relevent search in the mechanicals section will bring it up though :+:
