Hi everyone!

As a mk1 and mk2 owner, I'm pleased to offer fellow owners a refurbishing service on existing gearknobs and steering wheels as well as providing NEW gear gaiters to compliment the interior of your cars.

As always, 25p from each gaiter sale will be set aside for MacMillan Nurses

If there is anything I can be of assistance with, please feel free to drop me a PM or email me at geargaiters@hotmail.co.uk and do my best to help.

Look forward to meeting up with you at some of the shows this year!

Not sure if this is a silly question or a positive suggestion:

For gear knobs and steering wheels, will it be a case of send it to you/you send it back a week later, or will it be more of a replacement (ie: I actually purchase one off you, in exchange for my old one) ?

It's just that I can foresee being without a steering wheel for a few days will be a problem for many potential buyers.

Hi!

Its not a silly question at all!

I would need your existing gearknob / steering wheel, but I do offer a loan if you need it.

Unfortunately, what I do need is payment up front due to some 'not so trustworthy' owners not returning my loan ones to me when i've returned their newly refurbed items  It doesn't appear that those concerned are members of this forum though, but if they appear, I will be contacting the admin so that they don't have the opportunity to do the same to other members.

For the steering wheels, I do only require the 'outer' ring. The horn section and connectors aren't required. That way the loan one should just slip into place :)

Hope this helps

I'd recommend Rhon's gaiters to anyone, I've had one fitted for 4 years now and it still looks like new. :+: Quality work and leather :D

Heya Rhon,

Can you PM me a price for 1 x black/red stitching gear gaiter and complete set of red felt inserts.

Don't suppose you have any gear knobs spare do you? I'd like one with red stitching, but my car currently has an aftermarket metal jobby.

Ta,
R

I charge £85 inc p&p and if I have a spare wheel I can loan you one at no extra charge. I have a mk1 wheel on file somewhere - if you want to PM me your email address I'll sort it out for you and email it across.

If you want me to do them, you can always post me your old gaiter and frame and I'll attach the new one to it for you before I send it back so that its ready juts to clip back into place :)

Hello,

I'm an American with a Mexican supplier of exotic skin leathers. I would like to get a steering wheel and shifter boot redone in manta ray skin, is this possible?

if you are unfamiliar with the skin, it's tough like any bovine leather but with bumpy ridges that I think not only look cool but would help with grip. Pic here: http://articulos.telocompro.es/anuncios ... 1_2626.jpg (http://articulos.telocompro.es/anuncios_ma/img_206769_1_2626.jpg)

and could you do something like that or could I buy some sort of pattern from you and do it myself? I'm handy with a sewing machine.

Thanks
j

manta rays in mexico are under threat due to population decimation caused by over fishing and the gulf oil spill.

In which case, I don't think I'd like to use it! At least cows are sustainable :D
