This event is at The Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon Warwicshire.

Briefly, This event has been running for over 10 years and we as a Club have been invited, for up to 12 vehicle passes and 18 tickets. We can be in the main display area. You have to be on site by 9.30 as the show opens to the public at 10.00.
They are also running cavalcades around the emissions test track of the Jaguar and Land Rover Test FAcility, next to the site.
As always a coverted SUPERCAR of the year is up for grabs, final decision on Sunday at 3.30.

I have the booking form so if anyone is interested ingaoing or taking this on then please contact me and I can pass the form onto you.

Bump
Can anyone help organise this show?
we have been very fortunate to have been invited for the last 3 years, and its a great show. The clubs are pretty exclusive: Ferarris, Lambos, Porsches, etc
Also for the last couple of years they have had the chap doing the stunt driving in the minis etc.
You also get free admission to the museum there :+:

We need to know early so the entry for the club can be made, the numbers for tickets etc can be done later, as we just need to apply for the full amount of free tickets.
The organiser just needs to get hold of a flag and gazebo from an area organiser, and turn up early with a few helpers and get the stand set up.

Generally, closer to the time it is easy to get help from the people signed up to go.
Once there and set up the day is yours to enjoy. generally at the club stand people will congregate from time to time (bring a folding chair etc) and have lunch etc, and chat.
Its surprising that you do get a lot of interest from the public as they want to know about a sports car they can afford!

The cars we take don't need to be showpieces, just washed and pollished would be great :+:

I hope this helps to encourage someone to take this on

Debs: what is the deadline for a clubstand entry?

Entries to be in by 19th June, but as that is when I'm on the way back from holiday in Le Mans, suggest end of MAY.

Quite happy to send form off, but need numbers by end May

I would send the application form off with a request for all the free tickets we are allowed, then worry about allocation of them later.

Its not too far from me, I think I would be able to attend with my Black MK1a, it's always a good event (I have been going a few years now, as a spectator).

Can you confirm the date please?

I've been two years running and have enjoyed it. A good day out.
But I'm not sure I'll go this year at the moment.

But it is a good day, well worth going if you're interested in proper cars! (Ferraris, Lambos & TVRs galore - to the point they almost start to look normal!!! )

Just to let you know, Form completed and returned to Gaydon.

Pass requirements I have requested are:-

Car Passes x 12 (maximum)

They are (Gaydon) are not sending out passes this year, they say "club members can pick them up from a pick up point situated in the top car park (behind the control building)"

Is this event still happening?

I have another event on the same day that I would like to attend (Pre68 Banger racing at Hednesford). I see the list of cars hasn't grown, I don't fancy standing there like a lemon by myself ;)

Here is some information and pictures on the show from last year (me and Boyzdad went). Firstly the show is located in Gaydon in Warwichshire, (CV35 0BJ). There were Ferraris, Lambos, Vipers, Mitsubishi's, TVR's, and all sort of super/sports cars old and new (including MR2's of course! ;) ). There is also the usual show'n'shine on the stands and competitions (such as best in show etc) and in the main event arena (such as best sounding engine etc). There was also Russ Swift there (he will be there this year aswell) who does stunts in his Mini such as precision parking and driving on 2 wheels! (more features of the show are here (http://www.supercarsunday.co.uk/pages/features/show_features.html). Also not forgetting the museum which is situated right next to the show!, which is really big. It was a really good day out last year so i would suggest if you can go in your MR2, then go! :). There is also food/drink stalls and toilets which is very important ;) . So here are some good pictures of the show last year:

(Also heres the link to the Supercar Sunday website for more information on the show SuperCarSunday.Co.Uk (http://www.supercarsunday.co.uk/) and the main museum website http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/

Just to confirm, although there doesn't seem much point ;)

As there has been no activity on this event, and I have another event that I want to do, I will NOT be attending this show.

Yeah - a real shame no one wanted to go to this (well i wanted to, but was working)

I hope Debs contacted the organiser to politely let them know the club was not attending....
