Hello Just thought i would introduce myself and my 2 Mk1s

My first i picked up from Jinxy Late November last year after selling my mk2 literally i drve in my mk2 to jinzys the chap who was buying mine drove to jinxys gave a me a wadge of money that i then passed onto Jinxy who then gave a me a mk1.

After some minor adjustments and a damn good clean mop polish and wax she now looks like this and im very happy with her she is my daily driver and my workhorse. Bertha

Then one day on ebay this chap posts up for £300 Buy it Now a Black Mk1 with headgasket Failure. Now from the pics it looks good i spoke to him on the phone and without even seeing the car i buy it bank transfer style

didnt really look where it was but its in freakin Newcastle and im in Portsmouth so Quick scan round the internet and £140 Train +7 hours on train :( or £90 Flybe +1 hour arriving at 8am. :)

so £400 spent in less than 2 hours (the wife is not happy) and me flying that weekend.

So i get up there really early and its perfect some minor rust on the rear arches Underneath is Solid as a rock Its a Black Tbar 67k on the clocks It has the bags behind the seats with the blinds a full leather interior Koni adjustable shocks all round and the best looking Mk1A alloys i have ever seen! The frunk looks like it has just come out of the show room. Only things wrong is the minor rust a slight ding to the front bumper and the engine....Which is a freakin Death trap the bolt on the drivers side of the fuel rail has stripped its threads and the pressure of the fuel is forcing the rail off the injector and is peeing fuel everywhere i can see whats happened the bolts gone there is no/very little fuel getting to the injector so #4 has run very lean=hot=head gasket pop= :(

Either way im happy RAC are called and i now have 368miles at 56mph to look forward to.
Take a look

Now i get home its at my parents house in Gosport ready for a new engine and a nice chap from 2 brutal unfortunately looses his garage and posts up a mk1.5 shell and a 4age for grabs Me and Nikaiyo (IMOC) hire a LWB Luton Van and bring them back (yes they fit in the back of LWB lutons....No Dont Ask.. Yeas there are pics) the 1.5 and engine went to Jaspa for him to play with the 1.5 and me to pick up the 4age in the very near future to have it fitted into my mk1.

So Hi and i look forward to seeing you all soon

You've been bust since November!
Cars both look really good though, seems like you've been working your usual magic on the paintwork.

Can I suggest you invest in a decent camera though? :wtf: :P

I want a new camera the one i have is just my little 3.2mp on my sony phone and its quite shocking i ideally would like a nice mini DSLR type camera but i dont really want to spend that much on it but i know VERY little when it comes to cameras i used to love taking photos on my Dads Film Olympus job That was fantastic has about 6 different lenses and was really great. still got it and the foam lined hardcase he made for it + the lenses.

Try one of these:
http://www.bitesizedeals.co.uk/Panasoni ... _1371.html (http://www.bitesizedeals.co.uk/Panasonic-DMC-FZ28K-10MP-Digital-Camera-with-18x-Wide-Angle-MEGA-Optical-Image-Stabilized-Zoom-Black-product_1371.html)

It's the updated version of my camera (you may remember it from Goodwood), it's a good bridge between compact cameras and full-blown DSLRs and really easy to use if you know very little about photography like me
