after nursing car home after fan belt snapped went to start car to put on ramps car wouldn't start checked for spark and petrol all ok. called R.A.C out, after checking car out they told me there was no power to the injectors.is this a common fault with the mr2 as I have a parts car that did the same thing, both cars always started first time every time prior to this problem. can any body help.

Check all fuses and do a code check. I have not heard of them loosing all power to the injectors alone more likely that there is not enough power in the battery.
A snapped alt belt means that it wont have been charging the battery so you will likely have drained the battery.

thanks for the reply, the R.A.C did all that and it was them that came up with the no power to the injectors but have to admit my battery is not on top form, I will buy a new one and try again. thanks

In my experience most of the rac guys don't know there arse from their elbows when it comes to older cars.
You can probably just give the battery a charge and see if that helps.
I would still check for fuses, there is a fuse box in the front and in the engine bay.
What does the car sound like when it's cranking?

the battery was fully charged after I got the car home and turned it over no problem but it was several years old.
