Hi all,

Apologies for the inaccessibility of the forums today. I've been working with the hosting company for the past few hours and have resolved the issue.

Thanks again for your patience. :+: :)

Time for a drink!

Cheers,
Tom

Yes well done. I forgot to thank you yesterday

Any details on what was wrong, out of curiosity?

No worries. :)

Yeh, sure. It was actually a Denial of Service (DOS/DDOS) attack from a couple of IP addresses. It was targeted at the Virtual Server (hosting several websites) rather than specifically at the Mk1 Club site.

It wasn't an attempt to access any data of any sort, but to just use the server's computing power.

Anyway, the IP's in question are blocked and all seems okay.

Cheers,
Tom

Aha, makes sense for the slowness.

Hard enough to run any kind of website, without others ruining things.
