Just a good honest Mk1b in silver with 131,000 miles and an MOT until April 2018.

It's had the rear arches welded with new metal, interior looks great (including new floor mats) everything works (all switches, electrics and nobs and buttons), thatcham approved alarm immobiliser, cd player, K&N induction, Magencor HT leads, stainless steel exhaust which sounds great without being obnoxious or antisocial, drives brilliantly and the engine is great. It's got the complete tool kit. Two keys. Spare wheel. No damage to door cards or tears in the seats. Tyres were new last year and have done less than 1,000 miles (including new spare). It's not perfect but it's 30-years-old. Folder full of history.

Have got a few spares that can be negotiated such as full bush kit (£180), gear box, and other bits and bobs.

Selling due to house move and no longer have a garage. The car is stored at my in-laws' farm so is undercover. It's back on the original wheels now. The GTi ones were a bit of fun but wanted to keep it original.

Car is near Chester off the M56 and M53. Call 07973506464 or email pmannion85@gmail.com or DM and comment.

Hello all, as much as I love the car I just don't have space to store it and don't want it to deteriorate. I am lowering the price to £3,000 and I am open to negotiation. There's also the spare gearbox, new fuel filter, full set of bushes, and a fair few other bits that I will include in the sale.

Many thanks,

I'm guessing the bushes, are polybushes?

Yes. The Superpro set from Fensport. More than £200.

Tom, please can you update the headline of this post?

I've had absolutely no interest!

Hi Paul. Selling on here is tough. When I decided to sell my car to help fund my new one I got virtually no interest on here. The fact is that most people on this forum already have a car that they are very happy with. Of the people looking for an mr2 most will have certain criteria in mind such as the colour, t-bar or sunroof etc. The chances of there being someone on this forum looking for a car like yours are slim. Have you tried advertising elsewhere? I advertised mine on eBay, Autotrader, Shpock, Preloved, and GumTree. I got interest from lots of people, but turning that interest into an actual sale was tough. I did try to get those who decided not to buy my car to join here and look at what was for sale. In the end I gave up on trying to sell and cancelled the ads, but forgot to cancel the GumTree one. A few days later someone saw it and the sale was very quick. I'm still nagging the new owner to join up!

Best of luck with your sale. Someone, somewhere will love that car, but they just might not realise it yet!
