Hi,

I thought it about time I made an introduction here. I've posted this car up on another forum but I figured it would be appreciated by many on here. I'll not say too much about the car here, but may open a separate thread about it if people are interested. It's 99% original as left the factory. 0% rusty, with 32000 miles when I bought it.

I'm out over near Doncaster, so I hope after this coming winter to join in with meets going on and whatever else goes on :)

Pictures as I got it, just after a detailing for a day

Thanks guys and girls. If people are interested I can open another thread with some back story about the car :D

Hello and welcome to the club.

Your car is a very fine example and one that was for sale from a dealer in Burton on Trent recently, up for a pretty penny I believe.

I take it it turned out as good as it looks?

Thanks for the warm welcome :)

Certainly was for sale there, well spotted good sir.

The price was a good one. I wasn't going to pay that for something that wasn't absolute perfection. There's not an ounce of rust on it anywhere, which I must say I'm really impressed with

No worries, I'll copy some of the stuff from Pistonheads over here. I was recommended by someone there to come here. I've been lurking for a few weeks and everyone here seems really helpful and friendly :) So I'm hoping to pay for some membership once I've gotten a little involved.

Depending on the weather next week I would love to join in. The car is great but I have various plans for it over the winter to prevent rust forming and generally spruce it back up, so at the moment I've been avoiding driving it in the rain until some waxoil has been liberally applied :P This is not my everyday car.

That looks brilliant. I have inherited one with same miles and same year. She is being trailered up to us from my late Nans' house tomorrow and is booked in at our local garage to have some TLC and to get her running again. (She has been SORN for 10 years but has been kept in my Nans' garage.) Quite excited now I have seen how good your Sherwood toning looks :p

Thanks for looking. I have a proper project thread over in the project section of the forum. Maybe it will be of some help as your car is also unrestored from new :)
