Very tempting. I'm thinking about Croft as we are away in August.

I've been looking. Next job is to speak to the boss! What class would a bog standard mk1 be in?

Edit: Is it Class D Street?

yeah d street.. you'd be nice and competitive with a mk1 in that group, and great thing about it is there is an overall as well so you can try claw points and get above people in higher groups

Unfortunately my car has a problem with the front anti-roll bar which meant I couldn't use it for this event today. I borrowed my mother-in-laws mk3 mr2 instead. More unfortunately I wasn't allowed to use that as it's a convertible and needs to have a roll hoop fitted. The guy running the event was very understanding of my situation and we've agreed I'll definitely do an event next year. I spent a few hours spectating and chatting to a few people who were all very friendly. I really don't understand why more mk1 club members don't have a go at this as it looks like loads of fun. Thanks for saying hi Pete. I'll see you next year.

Cool, but a shame about not being able to take part this time. I'd be up for joining you next year at an event or two Anthony! :)

Cheers,
Tom

Great! The dates for 2017 will be released at the end of January. I'll post them on here as soon as I know. There's also a Facebook group that's worth joining.

I was gutted about not being able to compete. They also have a class X for non-Toyotas. So if I'd brought just about any car other than the mk3 with my I would have been allowed to have a go. I'm not sure what my lap times would look like in Sonia's Q7 though.... ;)
