Crash bar is solid it has light surface rust but a wire brush and a paint will sort it . Its been tested for strength as the lad pulled in on to the low loader using the crash bar with all for wheels locked solid ( seized wheel bearings )

ps i will get back to lads showing interest in parts

Are the rear caliper said ok? I'm after a complete exhaust system if it's in good condition?

There are 4 t bar caps which have slight cracks in them witch i car repair and 4 t bar hard covers in very good nick , the t bar bags have been eaten by mice sadly . The A and B posts are very good and could be cut out .its a shame to break the car but after been stood for 7 years out side its killed it the floor and body is dust and totally beyond saving .

I've had a proper look today and they aren't perfect bar the drivers side b post this is ,the others have a little corrosion but are still very usable and far superior than what's on your car at the moment . i will get some pics tomorrow when it stop bloody raining .

Is the suspension on a MK1b the same as a MK1a? I want to do a suspension rebuild and it would be easier if i could do it off the car then bolt it on afterwards.

I want to do a suspension rebuild and it would be easier if i could do it off the car then bolt it on afterwards.

I was thinking the same, as I could paint up and poly bush off the car but I guess it would be a big job to get all the suspension off and I cannot help tomorrow. Is there a quick way to get it off?

mk1 dal

The suspension on this car is shot to hell its not worth taking off , to get the engine out i had to cut through the drive shafts as both rear wheel bearing had seized solid i have never seen anything like it .
